It is common knowledge that the 2003-2007 6.0L Powerstroke suffers from issues with head gasket failure. Whatever the cause may be, the proven solution begins with getting rid of the factory head bolts and installing the ARP head studs. These issues are magnified when you start doing major upgrades to the fuel and air system on your 6.0. The ARP 625+ Head studs were designed for trucks making at or above 625 HP, or for those looking for the best protection they can find.
We have installed the ARP 625+ Head Studs on trucks in the 550HP to over 1000 HP, and have incredible reliability. They give you the head gasket protection needed when chasing a performance build on the 2003-2007 6.0L Powerstroke platform.
We HIGHLY recommend replacing the cylinder heads at the time of repair, especially on trucks with more than 75,000 miles due to the likelihood that the mating surface of the head is not flat. This can compromise the effectiveness of the head studs and cause future issues with blown head gaskets.
